“Mei, I want a boyfriend.”

Staring blankly at the screen in her hands, Mei took a moment to fully register what her sister had confessed. Pausing the GameBoy game, she turned around to look up at Jun, who sat on the bed, playing her PSP. “Where is this coming from?” the blue-haired girl asked.

Jun merely shrugged, keeping her eyes glued on the portable game system's screen. Reluctant, though obviously trying to sound nonchalant, she answered, “I don't know. I guess it's just a spur of the moment thing.”

Not adding anything else, Jun slowly continued to play her game. Scooting across the carpet on her knees, Mei rested her arms on the bed and grinned as she stated, “Well, it shouldn't be that hard, right? You practically have a fanclub dedicated to you!”

Snarling, Jun paused her game before falling back on the pillow behind her. Grabbing an extra pillow to cover her face, she nearly exclaimed, “They only like the fact that someone without a dick can be a fierce competitor!” Rubbing her face into the pillowcase, she sat it aside as she continued with a murmur, “Besides, I don't want to date just anyone.”

Nodding understandingly, Mei scooted closer to her sister, resting her chin on her arms. “Then find someone you like. Don't you have someone in interest?” To this, Jun stared lamentably at the ceiling. It was not that simple. Even having the thought betrayed her twin. It was possibly a phase, but she really could not get over the certain monkey boy...

“I just wish I was as lucky as you,” Jun absentmindedly mumbled. Practically right next to her, Mei's eyes widened as she heard the words. Not a moment sooner had an idea occurred to her.

Rushing to her desk, Mei grabbed her cell phone before returning to the bed, standing over Jun. “You see this?” she said, holding the phone up. What was she supposed to see exactly? Lightly shaking the cellular device, Jun realized what she was talking about as her bear keychain swayed to and fro. “You still have yours, right?”

Faintly smiling, Jun reached over and grabbed her phone from the other side of the bed, replying, “Of course I do.” Her phone had a similar keychain attached to it, the very same down to the smallest detail. They had these charms since their thirteenth birthday. If anything, these bears were the visible representations of the twins' connections.

“As long as we hang onto these,” Mei began, turning her bear around in the palm of her hand, “we're bound to be equally blessed. As long as you have yours, you'll always be as lucky as me. Okay?” Slowly giving a more sincere smile, Jun nodded as she sat her phone on her lap. “Who knows? You might find your own soulmate at tomorrow's party. You did say you had connections to get in, didn't you?”

Jun nodded. How silly it was for her to doubt herself – to doubt her sister.
