I have, yes! They eat mainly the protein-rich nubs from the tips of acacia trees. But they will also eat nectar and sometimes ant larvae or other spiders when food is scarce. Here’s what they look like:

When you first post chapter one of a story, how much of the rest do you have written out? Is the entire story done or do you figure it out as you go?

Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ve ever posted a first chapter of something and then had the rest of it, or even second chapter, written out beforehand. I’ve been winging it!

However, I do have completed novels that sit in my folders that I am slowly rewriting, and those I’ve written out beforehand and hope to one day publish with an agent. 

But for my online stories I usually figure out the actual words as I go. For mriac in particular I had the plot all written out before I started. That was rare for me because I’m usually a “pantser/gardener” type writer that makes it up as she goes.

I’m trying to develop a hybrid style though between pantsing and architect, so hopefully that will work out! In general, it’s recommended to have a story all written out before posting any of it since that makes it easier to stick with a schedule and not write yourself into a corner, but it’s not necessary.

I usually write the chapter the morning of, edit it, and then post it all in one day so there are many ways to do a serialized story.

40: If someone were to make fanart of your work, what fic or scene would you hope to see?

That is a delightful question and I will absolutely fail to be concise with it. I mean, beyond the fact that literally any fanart of anything ever would be fucking amazing.

all the stars probably has the most candidates that would be fun to see art'ed. Part of the advantages of being my longest fic ever. The first Midoriya Inko hug would be cute, I think. The rooftop kiss, maybe? It's romantic, it's cute, it feels fairly cinematic to me. Oh, or early on, Midori cleaning Shouto's burns under a streetlight--the fragile intimacy of that moment.

whenever wherever you ask was basically entirely built around and for that accidental proposal reveal, although the domesticity of the opening with Hitoshi's note would also be nice. Or the kool-aid man moment in by the blood and the bruise would be extra fun and funny to see in art form. And I'm gonna stop talking now before I list like fifty things.

"Take the phone off the hook and disappear for a while"; the vibes on this one are to me, the kind I would love to apply to a more introspective fic, or maybe something where canon diverges a bit in a dark way. Hurt/comfort isn't one of my more typical genres to write but I feel it could fit that quite well!

For Crit Role that would 100% be a Percy or Caleb fic for me. Those two are very easy to punish. I also get the sense it could fit very well for a Caleb/Lucien fic specifically in CR. Those two have the fucked vibes necessary to live up to the title. In terms of specific fic ideas, what came to mind was something related to Caleb's backstory: for those unfamiliar, canon involves a few incidents of dissociation related to it, so exploring that via a short fic (with that banger title) would work great. Especially regarding Caleb's feelings on it, since we don't get a ton in canon about how he feels about the dissociation specifically.

Weirdly, if I went the BNHA route, I would actually go for something Hawks-related, even if he's not as overtly an angsty character. Maybe some villain (or anti-hero) Hawks (a beloved fave trope of mine) for the flavour. There are just so many possibilities for this one; I may have to scrawl it down somewhere for future use <3

"Don't ask for help you're all alone"; My brain immediately went to the most literal interpretation of the title, aka one of those impeccable 'Character A is in trouble/hurt and (thinks) they can't ask for help from anyone.' Basic, but it fucks for a reason. Again, I have a litany of sad pathetic male characters to put in that situation. Or a nice little trope reversal would work as well!

I get strong Tomura vibes from this one: BNHA strikes again! Maybe something examining his leadership of the PLF, or even the weird fucky mind-state with him, AFO and etc. Another possibility is something for Crit Role, maybe Jester-centric, about the first few days outside Nicodranas. Seems either way, I end up writing angst for these prompts. Woops!

The screeching and baby retrieval adventures are over. Yep, they have finally departed and we have an empty nest. We noticed it had been really quiet. So we went outside and checked. No mom chirping at us and no dad chirping at us. We brought the plant down to take a picture and then put it back. As I started to write this I now see dad in our tree. He chirped a little. Maybe he’s saying goodbye. I just walked out and mom and dad are both chirping at me. But there’s no one here. Another day of retrieve the baby birds (yesterday’s story is on my Facebook page). I came home to find that two had jumped out of their nest. One was defined not ready. He tried to fly and ended up upside down on the street. I put both back in the nest. Not sure if they will stay. Mom and dad were chirping at them and me.
