The screeching and baby retrieval adventures are over. Yep, they have finally departed and we have an empty nest. We noticed it had been really quiet. So we went outside and checked. No mom chirping at us and no dad chirping at us. We brought the plant down to take a picture and then put it back. As I started to write this I now see dad in our tree. He chirped a little. Maybe he’s saying goodbye. I just walked out and mom and dad are both chirping at me. But there’s no one here.
