november 23: i’ve supported many projects, zines, and art books but none of them have rendered me to tears the way @storywatchzine has. the beautiful charms are durable and beautifully designed, the enamel pin is intricate and gorgeous, and the bookmarks! i expected thin, cardboard bookmarks but nothing could have prepared me for breathtaking, thick, fabric bookmarks with tassels, and shimmer along the rims. the poems for reaper and dva are beautiful. i got to the book and just stared at the presentation. the seal, the paper wrap, and the knot...i saw a video of the organizers sealing the books and it made me so appreciative of the work everyone put into this project. as promised, i did not break the seal. the book slipped right out of the paper and it was protected by a clear cellophane envelope. the minute the fabric bound book touched my hands, i started tearing up. i looked through the book and was blown away—you all had me in tears LOL. again, thank you to all who participated and organized this. i have seen many zines fall apart, lack transparency, and/or they don’t have half the passion, care, and quality put into this zine. thank you again. i cherish almost all of the zines and projects i support but this is truly a treasure. i’m glad i didn’t miss out on it.

may 21: YAY, i received this beautiful zine bundle from @ghiblizine! the art is stunning and the quality of the book is top-notch. pins, buttons, and charms are crisp and i’d forgotten washi tape came with it. i was apprehensive about getting bookmarks and postcards because i don’t use them but these are some of the highest quality bookmarks and postcards i’d ever received—and they’re beautiful to boot! what a gorgeous bundle! they reopened preorders so you can grab your own!

november 11: i don’t remember when i got some of these but i’m posting them now because YAY! i love looking at them occasionally and i love them! the last one of friend’s “jumin in the cellphone” charm looks odd because i could’t figure out how to peel off the elastic so i apologize for that! i think my isabelle charm is missing a white layer or something because in the sample pics, you can’t see her face through the back of her head LOL oh well. anyway, here’s a list of the artists who created these high-quality, adorable, and amazing cuties (top > right): @shattered-earth, @solthrys, @mayuiki-art, and my friend ren (whose shop is closed indefinitely).

october 30: got these babies from @jooblesbeebles and they’re so freaking adorable! the acrylic charms are so much more durable now and the printing is so crisp! i love it! i also appreciate handwritten notes from sellers. it’s always a treat, especially with the cute Halloween doodle and personalization <333 thank you so much again, joobles and of course, i will always be back~ ( ´ ∀ `)ノ～ ♡

june 16: despite their shortcomings, i’m a huge fan of fgo and mysmes and so i had to have @cwilock‘s charms and standees. they are absolutely high quality, sturdy, and beautiful! could not ask for better service either. they were super accommodating, it was well-packaged, and they included relatable artist sticker sheets 😍💖!! can’t say much else that i haven’t already said and i’ll most likely be back because they have other stuff where the fandom is kinda niche (like ever oasis).

november 8: i received my catmander pin today so now i can post the rest of this magnificent tarot set i got from @gw2collective! what a beautiful set of cards and goodies! i put the mass produced version of some tolkien book on top of the tyrian tarot guidebook just to show you all how thick this thing is. i cannot stress how beautiful and high quality everything is. i’m absolutely stunned by...everything. initially, my pin was missing from the set and the organizer graciously and very kindly apologized, told me what was going on, and immediately sent out my pin. the level of professionalism is unparalleled—i’ve witnessed veteran fanzine organizers behave worse and show a severe lack of transparency (won’t name names). it was well packaged but there are scuffs and marks on the tag eyes which sucks but it’s okay. it’s still cute. i am truly grateful to see this come to fruition and hope to one day be able to participate myself 💖

first bad experience with an artist/seller: Let me preface this with the fact that I understand customer service can be difficult and, in most circumstances, I wouldn't blame the seller if something went wrong. With that said, shoppers get antsy when we spend money on items without knowing about the artist’s work ethic in terms of running a shop—especially when we drop more than $100. So of course we're going to get anxious when the items are long past due and there aren't any updates.

It took me contacting pvcparfait for any updates about everything being delayed instead of them talking to me directly, or updating on social media at the very least. Even then, it would them take 1-2 weeks or longer to respond. I contacted them via Tictail Talk and, when I got no response, I took to Twitter DM’s and they were still slow to respond after telling me DM'ing would be faster. I was never rude and I maintained a polite yet friendly demeanor throughout our correspondence. I messaged probably twice every other week because there was no clarity so I was confused. I understand that real life gets in the way but have some transparency if something’s going on; it’s the least you can do as a seller.

There were a lot of broken promises regarding shipping and items promised: a lot of the things they agreed to replace for missing items weren't in my package when it was finally delivered, items were canceled, and shipping was postponed several times. And to get all of those updates, I had to be the one to contact pvcparfait. I wasn’t contacting for just me. I was messaging for a lot of people who ordered at the same time I did—we were excited! We’d found a really talented FGO artist who made nice FGO merch. I don’t know if they would have contacted me or been transparent with me if I never said anything. They never once sent me an update until it came time to actually send out my package months later (note that they had everything on-hand; nothing was pre-order). One of my friend’s package was shipped and delivered almost 3 weeks before my package (along with 12 free charms??? jfc I know she didn’t spend much more than I did). And remember, we ordered at the same time and pretty much the same things. I kindly asked pvc if mine was being sent out as well. They ignored me for a week so I DM’ed on Twitter and they took another week before responding a 1-line response with a cadence of irritation. I don’t know why they sounded upset. It was me who should’ve been angered; but I wasn’t. Again, just really confused as to why I was getting different treatment. I’ve never been mean or impatient with an artist and I wasn’t gonna start.

By the time I received the items, I had lost all excitement. I cared so little that I literally just tossed it to the side when I first got it. It's Business 101 to have an even count of your inventory and...y'know, not make your customers bend over backwards to get an update. Such a shame because pvcparfait is a talented artist but their gift is squandered by their poor business acumen. I might be willing to give them another chance because Fate/GO is a smaller market in NA than I'd like it to be, but they would be my last option. This experience really soured my opinion of them and I urge others to exercise caution.
