NEW MUSIK OUT NOW
Why cant I keep these tones 😩😡
I gotta use rust. It won’t be the same. This the shit that irks me. Smh
So I found the solution to the loss of pigment. Either wait for the dye to corrode even more or dye the shirts 2-3 times… this is the result after a 2nd dye and wash. Basically what I want.. not quite perfect but rly nice.

I think the main thing I’m upset about when it comes to these shirts I’ve been working on is how the original dye pattern loses a lot of pigment after the first wash. It’s just not the same. Maybe i’ll just make a bunch and keep them as one offs as an art project/design direction because the concept is really good. Also I don’t think it’s safe for the rust in the fabric to be directly on the skin like that. Will definitely need a wash or two before wearing… I like some of the oranges that come out after the first wash but it’s just not quite how I want it.
Edit:
Left pic was after the first dye completely dried. Second is after 2 washes…
There must be some kind of relationship between the chemical reactions happening in my dye jars. The left is a test from one of my initial jars which has been brewing for about 2 months now. The original is in a much smaller jar than the middle and the right spots.
The middle spot has been brewing around 3 weeks going on 4… in a larger jar but with the same ratio of material scaled up.
The last spot is also in a larger jar but has only been brewing for a little over 2 weeks… also with the same ratio of material.
And somehow they’re all the same shade 🤨🤔
It’s like they’re communicating or connected in some way.. totally anticipated the first jar to be much darker because it looks darker than the rest.
I think it’s gonna be special to have shirts with their own unique shades. I might start one tomorrow.
Home | JUNE76
So for my side project #June76 I’m doing a very small run of special t-shirts.
The very first test I did ended up too light. Was supposed to end up dark red like on the right but I didn’t let it dry enough and washed out a lot of pigment. My next batch of dye is getting closer to being done.
What makes these so special? They are Iron shirts! If anyone is interested in pre-ordering one, you can through the link up top.
Iron shirt is also a hardstyle form of Kung Fu.
