☕ in Korea #19 - Yellow Cafe
If you hate the colour yellow, I advise you click out of this post now.
Otherwise, let me show you around the Yellow Cafe.
The Yellow Cafe is a cafe located in the Jungmun Tourist Complex on the southern coast of Jeju Island. & as you can see, it is modeled after the famous banana milk!
Interior. Don’t you just love those hanging lights that are in the shape of the banana milk bottle?
It is a cafe, but I feel like I’m in a museum or something.
There was yellow literally everywhere. On the wall in the back, there are framed artworks, where the silhouette of the banana milk bottle is given & ppl were to decorate it - like a blank template that one would receive in school & each student colours/draws on it.
In addition to drinks & a small variety of desserts, they also have merch for sale.
If you were to divide the cafe into 3 sections, the merch section would take up about 1/3, while the cafe & seating would take up 2/3.

I am assuming this space is sometimes used for special events bcos all the displays are moveable (have wheels for the most part), & it was very spacious.
Diff sizes of banana milks on display.
Merch: plushies, car fresheners, key chains, etc. ..
They had a separate counter if you just wanted to buy merch. On the right: various small stationary products like post-its, stickers, & pins.

The middle section of the cafe, feat. a large scale display in the center (I’ll show you later).
Omg, these booth tables!!
Yup, I ordered my drink & sat in one haha this is the iced banana milk latte. It wasn’t as sweet as I thought so that was good. But having the banana flavour, I have to say, is a little weird. I think a lot of ppl would say it has that fake banana or banana medicine flavour but I’m glad to say that I never had to experience the banana-flavoured medicine when I was a kid so I don’t know what that’s like. To me, I thought the drink was interesting, & I would definitely order it again!
Gallery time: I’m showing you some parts of the display.
Great Wall of ... Banana Milk.
Yellow Wood.
Yellow Square.
So cute!

?? Banana Milk trading ??
A semi-closed off hallway that links the merch section to the ordering counter. Turn left for the washrooms.
This, I thought, was awesome! It’s a big LED banana milk, where it’s like made up of Asian lantern paper. It was very pretty. It only lights up occasionally. Sadly, it’s cool but you can’t go in to walk around to take photos. I would’ve loved to do some creative shots, making use of the mirrors.
