But where is Gemerl during Junior Chaotix?
Gemerl is still here and personally hasn't changed all that much since his current position. However, now that he also shares his space with the Chaotix, he often gets caught up in their business. Namely, Vector occasionally brings him on more serious jobs that require immediate results. His laser focus and firepower allow the squad to blitz through whatever obstacle stands between them and the case. More than a few of these deployments have been getting the Junior Chaotix out of trouble, much to Charmy's embarrassment. These have been increasingly rare, though, and for the most part, he protects their home and tries to live his best life.
Gemerl doesn't think much of Sage, other than being dangerous for the family, but he pulls his punches on the villainess for their sake as well. He doesn't know Poplin is Sage and thinks she's just an odd but knowledgeable girl. But unlike Omega, he's been falling behind with his upgrades outside of slight modifications by Tails, such as Zeti-Proofing. He struggles to keep up with some of Sage's stronger bots like Todd, Iron Rose, and even Neptune. Sage sees Gemerl as a deserter/traitor, but he isn't a threat worth sacrificing scores of her troops to deal with.
(And not because she's reluctant to hurt the Chaotix family, DEFINITELY NOT THAT!!)
