Right, so, I’m not going to make my gifs until I have the finest quality trailer material available (aka, official post on YT), so while I wait for that, THOUGHTS:
1. SO GLAD we’re not just going to Sorna, because I have been arguing that that would be Forced and Stupid since the day after Season One dropped (literally). I always felt that that would not only take way too much finagling (hitting an island 80 miles in the opposite direction of the place you want to go???), but it would also be regressive for the franchise that has been doing such a Great Job of moving forward.
2. ...that being said, the Mosasaurus randomly plopping them onto another dinosaur island is a problem, but I don’t think that’s what happens. I’m guessing they’re damaged and either get captured, towed, or make for their New Island of Terror. That, or they all died in the Mosasaur attack and are in Purgatory now. You never know.
3. IT’S JUNIOR.
4. Sorry, got ahead of myself, but I’M SO EXCITED because that’s 1000% Junior. WHY IS HE SO ABUSED AND BEAT UP??? WE DON’T KNOW. But the new island is...really, really, REALLY cool, because it’s so DIFFERENT.
5. Is it a real Smilodon? Is it a Robot Smilodon with holograms to make it look real? Is anything real here? Are they in Westworld? Is that what Westworld is about?
6. We didn’t see much character interaction because of all the mystery and teror, but I’m EXCITED AGAIN.
7. “It might be the same Spinosaurus” THEN IT UNDOUBTEDLY IS (unless it’s a clone of that one, which would be awesome, but...)
8. ARE THE RAPTORS IN THE TEASER FACILITY THE ONES FROM THE IBRIS PROJECT IN THE LIVE SHOW??? IS THIS A BRILLIANT TIE-IN??? Did they ship the raptors off to Mantah Corp who took them to their private island? WE DON’T KNOW. WHAT A FANTASTIC MYSTERY WE HAVE THIS SEASON.
9. IT’S JUNIOR.
By Junior, do you mean the baby rex from The Lost World? Or a different rex?

The affectionate fandom name which I don't believe I've ever actually used, but who also might have always been my favorite rex as a kid (I might just be saying that because I'm excited, but also going back in my files, I can't imagine that ten-year-old me WOULDN'T feel attached to a baby T. Rex, also, I got his toy).
