Random notes from a writing class

I’m not sure which writing class these notes are from, but they still speak to me:

Render real emotion on the page

Think about your character’s messy drawer - think junk drawer in the kitchen or dresser drawer

There comes a time in each person’s life when they must use a cliche to get a point across

Don’t have a zero-to-zero or a zero-to-100 story. The character needs to change but can’t do a complete 180.
