It was easy to understand why he had been charged with Jamison. The German came from a disciplined background of military service, but his time spent as a Crusader and then an Adventurer brought with it a new side of him. One he hoped his old mentor would be proud of. 

When once he was headstrong and far too reckless, he know was a good example to lead by and never gave up on those he cared about. It had not taken him long to see the potential in the Australian man. His ingenuity with inventions and mechanics was perhaps like Torb - in a way he would never tell his dear friend to his face. That sharp mind was a good asset to have and he knew that there was a good heart in there somewhere.

“Ah you did good out there! Zose omnics never stood a chance with zose mines of yours. I saw the three go up at once, hah what a sight!” The man’s voice boomed in the echoing chamber of the aircraft carrier as he jammed himself into a seat beside the other.

   Wow! That was, in the history of flight tests, quite possibly the worst four second flight ever experienced by anyone ever! Absolutely phenomenal.

Hana, hanging half out of her mech’s cockpit, which is in turn hanging out of a massive hole in the wall, starts taking notes, because she apparently has no concept of personal safety?

It’s not until she pockets her tiny notepad that she notices there’s actually someone in here, and had her boosters had any more power to them, she might have like, crushed the guy.

“... Hey.” She greets, still upsidedown, and starting to go a little lightheaded. “This uh... your place?”
