Please look after yourself. Just do what you can to make yourself feel okay, even if it's silly little things. You'll get out of this rut eventually, even if it;s really shitty right now. xx

*hugs* I hope it passes quickly! I think you need to give yourself some time to chill. You put a lot of pressure on yourself to do chores and look for jobs. You need a day or two to not even think about doing any of that so you can recharge, IMO. <3

Thank you all for your kind words and support. I finally made myself go to the store and had a pizza for dinner, so I feel a little better now. I’m going to try and de-stress over the next few days, but I have a bunch of family stuff to deal with so we’ll see how that goes. Nowhere to go but up, right? <3

I couldn’t write for over three years. And then… I suddenly could write again.

THREE YEARS? Oh man, don’t tell me that. D: I don’t know what I would do if I lost it for three years. There were definitely periods of time where I wrote way less or hardly wrote at all, but they were always periods where I wasn’t really trying to write. At any rate, I’m glad it came back to you!

I’m glad you managed to get unblocked! Hopefully that means there is also hope for me. xD Writer’s block always feels like it’s never going to end when you’re going through it.

I know it's hard, but it sounds like it's in your best interest not to go. It's better not to take on that financial burden, especially when you know you have medical necessities. Those should come first. *HUGS* <3

If you can't afford it, you can't afford it. And it sounds to me like you can't. Not so you can still sleep happily. Life sucks. (((you))) I'm sure you can still send them a gift that will stay in their minds forever But going broke is not that gift.

Thanks everyone for responding. Basically, I’m just hearing what I already knew, which is simultaneously a relief but also a little disappointing. The hard part is going to be telling everyone that I won’t be going. But it is what it is, I guess. I already feel a little bit better; the wedding was kind of throwing a wrench in my plans tbh, which is a terrible thing to say, but it does make a lot of other things a lot easier for me. And no-path-untaken, probably not, but I’ll definitely pour over the photos!
