Locke has noticed how hard it is to reach Fran since Balthier’s death so knowing she likes red candies best (cherry and wild berry flavors), he always keeps a stash of them just for her and tries to find pretenses to call her in his office in hope to renew their old friendship.

Minute Calibrations || Fran & Mustadio (Pacific Rim AU)

Mustadio checked the equipment once more. Part of him wanted to make sure, really make sure everything worked perfectly, and the other part simply enjoyed finally laying his hands on this amazing piece of art.

The blond man sighed. He wasn’t sure how his new partner would react, seeing him inside the cockpit. He knew Fran had seen him on her way to the Commander’s office. And he knew that she knew her little stunt trying to break off his ribcage had not made him change idea. Call him stubborn but he guessed that if she had really wanted him to go away, she would actually have broken his ribcage. Or leg. Or arm. Or stole his prosthetic. Can’t really pilot one-armed after all.

He heard the cockpit door opened but he didn’t turn to look who entered. “You prefer left or right side?” he simply asked.
