I heard Jupiter Calling
🎶...I heard Jupiter Calling, connecting into the night I heard Jupiter Calling, and I saw the stars were falling...🎶
The above are the chorus lyrics of Per Gessle’s song “Jupiter Calling” but guess what? I’m not talking about Per Gessle’s “Jupiter Calling” in this reference tonight. No sir! I’m actually trying to tell that I literally heard “Jupiter Calling”.
I’d ask you to google “Jupiter Calling” and you’re most probably not gonna see any link in the first page which gives a little account of Per’s song.
Times have changed. If you type in “Jupiter Calling, you’re gonna see this new album by The Corrs with this title. The album got released on the 10th of November, 2017 and it reached me on the 19th of November, 2017.
What a year, Per released his albums, Marie her singles, the Cranberries released their album and finally The Corrs also released an album - my most favourite musical people have been pretty active. Yay!
The Corrs came out with an album in 2015 called “White Light”. I liked that album a lot, but it got pretty electronic at times. Then came “Jupiter Calling” after 2 years and it is pretty much the opposite of their “White Light” album. Jupiter Calling is a very mature, very relaxed, very organic album with very grownup approach, both musically and lyrically.
It’s a nice and likeable album for people who want to listen to music and don’t want to party hard.
It obviously reminded me a little bit of my Roxette experience.
Roxette is mostly Per’s music and garnished well with Marie’s amazing talent.
Good Karma is majorly electronic music.
Per’s “En vacker natt” and “En vacker dag” are organic pieces.
What I mean to say is that GK seems rushed compared to EVN/EVD. Do you get what I’m trying to say here.
I’m hoping you do!
Love and Peace
