My entry for @achimastar's DTIYS!!!! I love Jupiter so much, she's such a cutie!! I've been meaning to draw her (and some other artists ocs) for a long while now, so might as well take the opportunity here!
Fant-art of @achimastar 's character, Jupiter deross in some Sailor Moon inspired outfits, done in MS Paint with a mouse (I originally was just going to make one for Sailor Jupiter... because Jupiter. then I kept going haha~)
The first 4 are all the same pose, with different hairstyles/outfits. The pose itself is referenced from an actual post of Makoto Kino from the manga, and all the outfits are inspired by art of Naoko Takeuchi, and vintage sailor fashion. Plus, a bonus one that is both similar to an original picture of Jupiter, and an image of Sailor Moon from the manga~
Venus; she has a top that with an orange knot tied at the center, held up by a strapped that loops around the neck, with the rest of the top stripped orange and yellow. It is tucked into high-waist jeans with 4 buttons (naval "crackerjack" style), cuffed into shorts, a slightly indigo color. Underneath are pale cream-colored tights, and red strappy heels. Her hair is parted at the center with the thick curls spreading out around low red bow hair clips, and gold bracelets (this is meant to have the exciting summer vibes of visiting a beach boardwalk)
Jupiter; she has a pale pink top, with a high neck and sleeves that end above the elbow. Over this is a dark green vest with a low sailor collar, a light brown belt at the waist, and a long hem that goes across a skirt. The skirt is pleated, with a light teal color, and a pattern of even lighter seafoam plaid lines. The skirt is connected to leggings that are single-stripped in the same colors, and light brown high-boots. Her hair is pulled back into a puff ponytail, decorated with a bright pink rose hair clip, and a circlet of golden laurels (this is meant to be something formal but still fun with a forest style)
Mars; she has a sleeveless dress with a roll collar across her shoulders, the length of the dress going past her knees, with a single pleat to give the hem an asymmetrical angle. The collar and bottom of the dress have bright rose-red stripes, the rest of the dress is a dark dusty-purple color. Across the waist is a golden ring with two chains. She has pale leggings (an almost white/lavender color), and dark red heels. She also has a necklace that matches the ring/chains at her waist. Her hair is parted from one side, so the thick curls frame the head in an off-center way. In the hair are tiny star clips, in shades of yellow/orange/red (this is meant to look like a glamorous party outfit)
Mercury; she has a long-sleeved top with a pale pink collar and cuffs. The top has a pattern of light blue vertical/horizontal stripes that only over-lap on one side. The top is tucked into high-waist dark blue jeans, with buttons that go down one side. The shoes are mauve-brown boots. Her hair is pushed up, held back by a blue head band, and she's wearing tiny gold earrings (this is meant to look like going on a trip to the seaside, but during a time when the weather is cool)
The bonus picture has Jupiter in a pose sitting on a crescent moon, leaning back on one arm, the other outstretched to rest on one of her knees, both bent up at a high and lower angle. Her face is in a side profile, looking upward with a smile. This one is done with high-lights and shadows, with everything having a slightly rosy tint (like light during sunset). Her outfit is a slightly halter-style dress, with a center golden crescent moon brooch, the straps going over the shoulders from there. The lower part of the dress ends in a mid-thigh pleated skirt. The top of the dress is dark blue, and changes color in a gradient from light blue-green-light green-yellow-white. Matching white tights go down into dark blue boots with a V-cut, and golden trim at the toes/heel. Around her wrists are golden bracelets, and she has matching golden crescent moon earrings. The texture of her thick and curly hair is seen with the pink shine of the light, and in her hair is another golden crescent moon clip with three feathers decorating it at the side. From above her, stardust is falling all around (this is obviously inspired by Sailor Moon's "Crisis" design, a little bit of Princess Serenity, and also vintage flapper fashion, but more glamorous)
