…and a drawing of two cat-sized T.rex hatchlings running up to their big, protective momma, inspired in part by the unexpectedly recent discovery of baby Tyrannosaurus made by Nick Longrich and colleagues made over a month or so after I did a previous illustration of an adult with her hatchlings. Baby Tyrannosaurus were capable of fending themselves right after hatching, occasionally feeding off of whatever their parents have brought for them, and the size of their prey changed as they grew in size.
