i can’t get tsumugi out of my head this is actually bad every time i think about v3 i want to stand up and shout and scream and run a marathon. wow wow wow. her, keebo and rantaro are such a special trio and i think in a different universe they would have been the wildest protagonist/ support trio. rantaro as token bishounen character is the the protagonist obviously, keebo and tsumugi are his elusive companions, and then in all the interactions between the three of them tsumugi has to keep coming up with dialogue that isn’t stunted by her plainness being her only trait, we learn about her and her process of making cosplays, when keebo’s lab is unlocked tsumugi and rantaro are super excited by it and they treat him like a person, rantaro slowly starts to piece things together and then boom tsumugi mastermind reveal!! i think if that were to happen, the meta commentary would have to be forgone which would just make v3 another season of danganronpa but it would be so good!! at least for me, tsumugi benefits from her lack of overt progression as it presents just how stuck she is in this act in an almost immature way, she can’t grow as a character because danganronpa characters don’t “grow” past their stories but man it would’ve been so interesting if there was a way to really canonically feel pity for her. a lot of her character is speculation and implications surrounding her job and her role as mastermind but we know that keebo has professor idabashi, rantaro has his sisters but tsumugi doesn’t have anybody.
