I just had such an unsettling thought.

I’ll be getting double jaw surgery to correct my airway, I was born with a developmental deformity. I’ve been thinking about all the metal plates and screws that will be put into my face.

I wonder if those plates will have branding on them? Serial numbers? Perhaps even be trademarked and have “made in ___” stamped on the metal?

Am I going to be biologically branded?

Will I ever be dug up by archaeologists?

Will my screws still be intact after centuries?

Will my skull fall apart when touched, or will my metal plates still hold me together?
