Hi tumblr void, just wanted to put a blog update.

I’ve worked with AI in the past both recreationally and in an academic setting, and months ago I came to the conclusion that I can no longer ethically support it.

While I thought that it could be a great tool for coding and thought that chatbots were neat, it has caused so much damage that I believe SEVERELY outweighs the good it has done.

I’ve since learned of the immense environmental impact their massive data centers have, and I personally believe that access to clean, running water is a HUMAN RIGHT.

Should AI development continue, there seriously needs to be a way we can conserve water and passively cool these big data centers. I think that these big AI companies should have invested in cooling technology and architecture that is more ecologically friendly.

I have ceased all of my projects involving MCP servers and have cut ties with all collaborators. I urge fellow developers to do the same. We cannot sustainably keep doing this.
