Fleabags iconic final scene between the protagonist and her holy love interest is so famous that I’d known it was coming well before watching the show, but what the internet doesn’t tell you??? What they don’t warn you about!!!!
He says “I love you, too” before he leaves. Because the love was there. And she needed to know that she could still both love and be loved. But the love doesn’t change what comes next.
What a masterpiece. That last line is just as important as the previous two, even if it’s not as punchy.
