When you hear a live interpretation on TV, and you can sort of FEEL the process behind it and get all nervous and tense, because you can really emphasize with your colleague who's interpreting this really important political speech in an environment where you simply cannot make any mistakes without probably ruining your career.

Everybody is talking about how they admire Merkel for remaining calm and polite at that press conference with Donald Trump, but I'd also like to take a moment to give a shout-out to the interpreters who managed to simultaneously interpret Trump's incoherent ramblings without giggling and with a straight face.
