Do u guys ever think about how interesting it is that the only Uchiha v Senju battles we were shown was always very straight forward, head to head combat?
Like, interesting in the way that these guys were shinobi, but the conflicts we were shown make me think of much more straight forward, "honorable" foes
Was there more shinobi-esq espionage, sabotage, and assassinations happening off-screen? Or were all of their clashes this sort of head to head, transparent fighting?
I'm not saying shinobi can't fight in such a straightforward manner, just that it's interesting it's all we see them do. Especially considering the era

Engineer, mechanic and heiress of the Jenson's millionaire business, she is the head in charge of the production of Soldier Drones. She is the impeccable image, the face after her parents, the prodigy, the star, the acclaimed and refined lady who will lead the business to stardom.
Her childhood was not exactly happy or charming. In fact, it was quite the opposite. Lonely, she was confined inside her parents' luxurious mansion, with the only company of the drones she had managed to repair (against her parents will, of course). Tessa was a neglected child who had found solace and companionship among the machinery to which she devoted all of herself. She was a neglected child who found affection in the machines.
Cyn was a lot of things for her. She was her caregiver, her nanny, her sister, her support. She was the only one who gave her the attention that a neglected child like her so desperately needed. Tessa always saw the drones as equals, she always detested the coldness with which her parents treated their creations. For her, they were the only humanity she had ever known.
Her relationship with Cyn used to be different. Things have changed since the solver has made an appearance. Cyn is no longer her sister and now she is the one who dictates the steps Tessa must follow. Cyn is in charge and she must obey. Because after all, she knows that Cyn is only looking out for the best for everyone. What is best for her people and for her. Cyn is not evil, Tessa knows her very well.
She would never do anything to hurt her, would she?

10:20pm
Bored, bored, and bored. You're sprawled across the floor of your room, forearm covering your eyes from the light shining above. There's nothing to do; nothing on tv is interesting, your phone is dry, and all you're doing is listening to the rain patter on the roof... what gives?? Whatever. It won't hurt to get some rest.
Quickly getting up and finishing your nightly routine, you hop in bed, making sure to set your alarm for tomorrow. Clicking the lights off you now snuggle down deep into your sheets, feeling the cool fabric rub against your flesh.
"Oops, almost forgot."
You mumble, grabbing the stuffed plush from the other side of the bed to pull close. It wasn't like a childhood stuffy or anything, you just liked it a lot. You relished in the moment, allowing yourself to relax and be present. You allowed thoughts to pass your mind, like, what to eat for supper the next morning, or your class, or classmates... You did wonder about one of them. A girl. She was quiet, very reserved. Nobody knows much about her, I mean, she's barely even there anyways. You've wanted to come up to her, ask her if she's okay and would like a friend but— you can't lie, she's sort of intimidating. I mean, how does she get away with that hood on all day? Nevermind. It's not important, she probably prefers to be that way if she hasn't come up to anyone by now.
After you brushed away those thoughts, it wasn't hard to fall asleep. The ambiance proved to be quite relaxing, or you just needed this more than you thought you did.

11:26pm
tap.
You roll to the side, a soft "mmph" slipping past your lips. The sound didn't register much, not bothering to open your eyes as you clasp the plush tighter. You were so warm and tired, you couldn't possibly get up. It's probably a branch or an animal or something, no big deal.
tap. tap. tap. tap.
Your eyes slowly flutter open, looking around. It was that same sound, you're sure of it. You kept your eyes open in a chance that you'd hear something else or see something different, but not before long you closed them again in defeat. You definitely heard that though.
"You know, I'm starting to think you're blind."
A sharp gasp escapes you before a figure lunges from the shadows, pinning you to the bed by the shoulders. Though.. whoever this is, is very lightweight. Before you could ask who the person was, you spotted their hood.
That's the same hood of the girl you thought about.
"Wh-What?? What are you doing- I mean, what are you doing here??"
You're utterly shocked. You don't even know this girl, what could she want out of you??
"I was expecting that response. Well," she starts, taking her hood down and waving her fingers around your face. "I've taken an interest in you. You haven't noticed? I'm always lookin' at ya'."
You stare at her. Why? Why you? I mean.. yes, you've caught her staring some, but you've always excused it as her not realizing she's doing it. It was all on purpose??
"You're the only one who's got half a' brain in there, y'know? Quite the good seed, you are, hehehee. A real smarty in class."
She runs a finger across your lips, letting go of your shoulders but still straddled atop you. It seems this girl doesn't know much about personal space.
"Well.. um, thank you.. I never caught your name."
You're nervous beneath her, her pink orbs piercing yours. Your eyes dart around the room uncomfortably; not that she's here, surprisingly, but that she's atop of you like this. You shrug it off, 'cause it seems she doesn't see it that way.
"Jinx. Call me Jinx."
And with that, she slides off you to sit criss-cross on your bed. You muster up enough courage to spark a conversation, something, to replace to awkward silence. You make small talk at first, asking why she's always got that hood on, and how she's never at school, all that good stuff. Then, as time passes, topics turn a little more serious. The both of you take turns asking increasingly personal questions, genuinely wanting to know about eachother. In your head, you're surprised you let her off this easy— considering you know she had to have followed you home once to break in... but, who cares. It's done and over with, and it doesn't seem like she means any harm.
At the end of the conversation, it's like you're under a spell. She's enchanting, when she's serious about something her intelligent side comes out, and she uses all these fancy terms. You can only nod when she talks about her projects in engineering class, it's incredible how much she knows about that stuff. You take a quick look at the time, reading 2:32am on the face. You glance back at her and she's already figured it out.
"Damn, you want me to go already? It's not even late."
She scoffs with a giggle, and moves towards the edge of the bed. She's getting uncomfortably close again, and you can almost smell the shampoo she uses.
"You know.. I want to thank you for coming here. At first you really scared the shit out of me, hah, but I'm glad you did. If you didn't, I wouldn't have bonded with you tonight like I have."
You give her a sly smile and move closer, slowly putting your hand atop of hers. She sucks in a small breath at the contact.
"I've taken an interest in you, too."
Her eyes glow at that. She turns to look at you, gaze soft yet passionate. You've saw that glow before, in class when she stared at you. Whenever you caught her gaze, they lit up for a moment. So cute.
Jinx leans in, breath warm on your lips. You both wait a second, making sure both parties really want to do this. As soon as she nodded, you pressed your lips onto hers.
It felt right. It felt amazing, her soft lips colliding with yours like a puzzle piece... You both savored the kiss before pulling away. She looked beautiful, the moonlight illuminating her soft features.
With a heavy sigh, she stands. You look up at her, taking in her figure once more. She leans down and whispers in your ear before taking off. You close the window behind her, with her voice stuck in your mind. Back in bed with a grin plastered on your face, you close your eyes and think back on her words once more.
i'm pretty sure i managed to get a switch emulator all properly set up on my steam deck & i haven't even committed any related crimes yet but i still can't brag all over about having successfully navigated linux & bad documentation to do it. because it does imply crimes to come. How is that fair
