hey! hello! I was just wandering the failwiki and noticed that Mona(?) was(?) known as "Winplane"? I don't really have much else to say abt it, I just saw it on the wiki and got curious is all C:

winplane was the old name for the mother of failboat and wincar before she became moom mom, playing on the naming conventions that exist in LoS (fail and win at the beginning of the name followed by some sort of transport although i don’t understand how we got failwhale)

there’s even some old designs of that version before the idea of moom mom was conceived where she was just, a normal human, i think my version was more of an office woman, having black hair making wincar’s look initially more genetic than him having a really long emo phase

others within this, failboat lore group insist that winplane is apart of her name but i simply just, don’t want to out of preference, and that the insistence is kinda annoying

i don’t really wanna commit nor marry to the idea of the winplane name anymore because i feel like it sorta clashes with what i had envisioned for mona

I was offered a teaching position!!

“We interviewed a while ago and I know you said you had some other offers to entertain and I am wondering if you found a position or not. Could you be so kind as to let me know?  We do have a position open if you are interested. Thanks!!!”

I have another interview tomorrow and have done nothing to prepare for it. I can definitely equate some of my depression these last couple of months to the failure of not securing a job.

Seriously, I have been 100% single and without any prospects of anything close to even talking to a guy since my my relationship with my daughter’s father ended. And that ended prior to even knowing I was pregnant. So... literally, over five years now. (God, who knew that that was the way I’d end my 20′s?) 

I just graduated from college. I need to find a job. But... when am I going to make time for me to have a little fun? Kynze will be gone for the summer. I won’t have much tying me down as far as a set schedule.

I need to make myself meet someone. Someone in the real world. Someone I can talk to and laugh with. Someone to kiss. Someone to kiss!! (Except for the random and very seldom kisses that I can probably count on one hand with my ex, I haven’t even enjoyed the act of kissing!)

So... I need to challenge myself: Mona, attempt to meet a guy and go on a date or two this summer! Do it! You deserve it. (And try not to dwell on the fact that you have depression tendencies because that won’t change. But you did write that totally amazing fic How Many Chances (Before I Get It Right)? where you gave a depressed Emma her happy ending.)

Knowing me... Knowing me, I won’t do it. But I’m going to cross my fingers and hope for the best.

IT’S APRIL 21, 2017... It’s one of two days I’ve been counting down for months. Today is my last day of STUDENT TEACHING!!!

I had a little fun in 2nd grade. I’m not in a rush to go back. Especially after spending a lot of time in middle schools this week for observation. But there are definitely a few students I’m going to miss.

9 days until graduation... Woohoo! I’ve been going to school full-time since January 2013, since Kynze was around 4 months old. And now I’m getting ready to graduate college and she’s getting ready to graduate preschool.

Yep, so many tears...

IT’S GRADUATION DAY!!

This weekend, I turned in my summative 23-page Impact on Teaching assignment and did an 8-hour certification course on First Aid/CPR. I literally have nothing left to do except 5 days of student teaching and then walking across the stage before I am a certified elementary school teacher with her Bachelor’s Degree, minoring in math and language arts.

My summer is being filled with beaucoup reading. A specific topic of a story I finished today had me reminiscent of one of my fics that covered the same topic. That being said... I re-read some of that fic, which had me browsing another one of my fics. 

Just now, reading over it, I instantly had this memory of what it was like to edit my fic with my beta. The current atmosphere of my room is also reminiscent of late nights, sitting in a doc, writing, poring over highlighted comments left for me. And then... also being a beta. Going in and squealing over portions of my friend’s fic that left me floored.

Oh my God, it’s been years. That was a really fun time, some years ago. I mean, I was still in school back then, so it’s been a while.

Anyway, there’s this great feeling rumbling around in my chest right now. I had a very cool group of eclectic friends here once upon a time (pun not intended). And I just enjoyed the walk down memory lane, if only for a moment.
