I have a theory about De Noche and it's based off of this video of the set and this one and, you know I'm never one to say anything, but he was looking very very lean at the Oscars. I thought he looked handsome as fuck but it's probably the thinnest I've ever noticed him, except for photos I've seen of him pre-fame, when he was young.

I could be wrong and if I am wrong than, I'm sorry to Pedro.

I wonder if Kinosaki will try to stick to Gero like glue now because Nasu has all but said she's done her part and needs to get out of the way now. If she is rigged to blow, she might be thinking Nasu wouldn't detonate if Gero could be caught up in the explosion. She definitely would feel guilty but also she is kinda selfish (rightfully so) and wants to live and has a ton of faith in Gero so that's probably the hand she's playing....

However that can't last forever because she is also selflessly committed to him getting happily married to someone else so like...when is she gonna tell him that she needs a miracle (gero's help)? When is she gonna tell him she loves him?

Another thing I wonder if we'll still get time for a bit more of Rem's memory. Because there obviously was a period between them finding Tesla and before Nai reprogrammed the fleet to fall. In manga, the whole plant memory transfer and other plant special abilities start only after the Big Fall. So the only way Vash and Knives got info about Tesla is from what Rem tells them verbally and from reading the files.

Here we don't know what explanation the twins got after that scare. Once Vash says he wants to put an end to Rem's regrets, although we don't know what they are here exactly. And Rem was his example of people being able to grow, not that they are inherently good. In that way Vash trauma may not necessarily be not knowing that Rem isn't perfect, but rather that now he's got first seat view of how little and too late her protest was. In manga there was one mention of ethical problem at day 100. And then Tesla was tortured for 129 days more with seemingly no interference, despite Rem saying she and Conrad started an 'uproar' about it.

tbh i think a lot of the vehemence of "former gifted kid" discourse is due to an unacknowledged "there but for the grace of god go i" lurking underneath the surface. like yeah, those are probably the same set of resentments i would have if things weren't mostly working out for me right now, and wow do i dislike looking that in the face.
