I really do believe from the bottom of my heart that independent filmmakers have a responsibility to be better than the industry at large at caring about the people on set. I dont care if its a zero budget one day shoot, or a $3k six day shoot, or a month at a $100,000 or anything above that. I dont care if its otherwise unpaid or if everyone has to pitch in to pay for meals. Deciding to keep the day at a fair length, provide for the crew, and watch out for their wellbeing is top priority. No one drives home so sleep deprived that we add to the significant number of stories of motor accidents involving people coming home from film sets.

We're not beholden to the industry or to someone else's timeline, so we shouldn't have to play by their rules. And I think a real shift could happen from the bottom up if we actively sought out and put forth a better way of doing things

#of course this applies more to indie filmmakers who are operating at a level of having bigger budgets and bigger teams + actually working #as opposed to small teams or hobbyists #but i also think the responsibility applies to all of us in some way or another #and im not saying ive been perfect at spearheading my first short film. being In Charge of something requires a balance that im far from #getting the hang of #just yet #but this is a part of it that's important to me

I'm glad you enjoyed it sm!! They were super sweet to write in this AU. I really enjoyed writing Armin as trans, too, so it'd be nice to explore that more later. A sequel could be fun, but it would just be pure fluff, but I guess that's what you'd be looking for :)
