Elidi had already begun walking away, dragging Kiki behind her, only faltering when Kiki mentions she was distracted by the insects. The witch glanced over her shoulder as if to give her a look that said, really? Shaking her head she decided to carry on, on high alert as her gaze scrutinized their surroundings, the greenery seemed normal, nothing unusual. Pulling Kiki by the elbow, she pulled the wiccan behind her as she turned to face the way they were running from. Blue optics scanned the trees, spotting the distinct red aura, closing in on them.

“Well shit.” No sooner have the words left her lips does the creature emerge from the leaves, inky as the night and standing on its hind legs with some of the longest claws she had ever seen jutting from its hands. Such an odd-looking cryptid, with blackened branches protruding from its back and patches of fur awkwardly placed across the beings frame. Its face was most appaling to Elidi, resembling the skull of some species of bird, those familiar red eyes piercing into the duo. "Oh, what the hell is that?" Instantaneously as the words leave her lips does the cryptid charge at them, Elidi gasping before shoving Kiki back with a heavy amount of force, not all too worried about injuring her as much as keeping her out of harm's way. Elidi hasn't even the time to yell for the wiccan to run, the creature tackling her in a blurred flash. Her body skids along the forest grounds before she crashed into the base of a tree, claws already aiming for her face. "No! I already have enough scars!" The witch hissed to the unknown species, doing her best to hold its arms back and away from her skin. Above the sky darkened notably, however much too slow for her liking. On top of her, the red eyes bored into her, their actions stilling if only for a moment as their maw slowly gaped open revealing rows of pointed teeth. Black liquid oozed from his canines, dripping down onto her cheek and forehead. A look of disgust pulled at her usually stoic features, "You're so fucking ugly." Just as the cryptid dives in to bite at what she assumed would be her face, her arm blocks its path, clamped tightly between their fangs. A grunt of pain rumbles low in her throat, her teeth gritted together tightly, sparks of lightning slowly crawling up the length of her hands and arms. "Kiki, run!"

She shrugged as the witch gave her that look, hey she couldn’t help being fascinated by the worlds many wonders. She allowed Elidi to drag her around, when her mentor turned to look behind them so did she. Her blue hues went wide in shock and disbelief her hands coming up to cover her mouth. “Oh shit....”

Those same red eyes she had seen before belonged to what could only be described as a creature from nightmares. She barely even had time to process what was happening as Elidi quickly shoved her out of the way. She hit the forest floor with a grunt as the air was nearly knocked out of her. Pushing herself up she watched in horror as the creature tackled the witch across the ground. “ELIDI!” What could she do?! She had no powers she was pretty much useless in this situation. Standing there watching helplessly as the creature bore its teeth into her mentors arm. Her gaze quickly falls to the forest floor, looking for something, anything that she could use as a weapon of sorts. “RUN? IM NOT LEAVING YOU ARE YOU FUCKING CRAZY?!”Grabbing a decent sized rock off the ground,she hurls it at the creature as hard as she could. Of course it likely didn’t do any damage but it did cause whatever the hell it was to unlatch from Elidis arm and looked over to her. As their eyes met yet again she felt her breathing hitch, again the feeling of complete dread. They both just silently stared at eachother before Kiki finally looked away and started running the opposite way from Elidi. She could hear it behind her and knew it was unlikely that she’d be able to outrun this thing, it didn’t mean she wouldn’t try. Weaving through the trees she maneuvered her way through the forest, she felt something trip her and she fell with a gasp. Looking back the creatures hand was wrapped around her ankle, she narrowed her eyes and brought her other leg up trying to kick its hand away.
