It was late by the time Gaster finally left Hotlands and began heading towards Snowdin. Or, at least, it was late for the Underground. The lack of a visible sky made it difficult to tell what time of day it was.
Gaster clicked his teeth together, hands clutching at the strap of his bag that was thrown over his shoulder. He would just teleport home, but his obvious lack of sleep left him far too tired to attempt it. A small miscalculation could end with him stuck in a wall, and he really didn't feel like dealing with that.
His eye light dimmed when he spotted a figure near by. It didn't exactly look like a monster. He froze, Soul pounding in his ribcage when he realized it was a human. How had they gotten down here? How had they gotten this far into the Underground without being spotted? Surely, had someone seen this human, news would have traveled quickly, right? Gaster took a step back, boots crunching against the rocky landscape. He raised a hand, eye light brightening, as he called upon his magic. A cage of bones erupted from the ground and surrounded the human, though Gaster was careful not to harm them. Yet.
When he felt as though it was safe enough, Gaster made his way over to the makeshift cage, teeth pulled into a frown. 'Human,' he signed, hands stiffer than usual as his fear bubbled up. The cracks in his skull and the holes in his palms began to ache. 'What do you think you're doing down here?'
