Toriel giggled some and patted the Anons head.

* "What can I do for you, dear shadow creature?"

* "Oh dear.. Um.. What? Your speech might have slurred there?"

* "You poor thing, I am not sure I have any remedies for such a thing, but no worries my love."

She reassured, and gently caressed Chara's cheek with her thumb. Moving in to scoop up the small child, Toriel carried her into the living room and closed the room door behind her. Sitting in her well known single sofa, Chara now on her lap.

* "Whenever you find yourself in solitude and the static starts to bother you again, come to me. We'll go through it together, yes?"

“This isn’t the dark world…” Ralsei muttered under his breath, looking around curiously as he wandered through the unfamiliar area.

Toriel hummed to herself as she made her way back home. Grocery bags in hand, there were most likely baking supplies in them and maybe a few other choice options. On her way she switched hands looking ahead before.. Well, that's someone she's never seen before? They looked lost and small... Were they a child? Oh dear..

Toriel wandered close and carefully, not wanting to scare them off.  

* "Excuse me? Are you alright here? You look a little lost and I was wondering if I could help?"

"It has been a while. Hasn't it?"

* “Oh, indeed! How have you been, my dear?”

The tall flower stretches to his full height, grinning a bit. He’d visibly changed. He’s definitely aged a bit but he also looks somewhat regal. “I’m afraid if I get into how I’ve been and what I was up to, we will still be standing here three days from now” he says, chuckling.

* "Well, you've certainly changed! That is something I can definitely see."

Toriel smiled, looking Rowdy up and down. A tall flower he is indeed, has Toriel ever seen him at his fullest? Perhaps, maybe she's forgotten, after all it's been a while.

* "I would not mind hearing this story though, living alone I haven't much to do anyway."

* “I’m gonna find you a boyfriend!! Time to become a match maker!!”

“A-Ah—! N-N-No! Y-You don’t h-have t-to do that!! P-Please, don’t d-do th-th-.. Th-That!!”

* "Oh come now!! Why not? Your face is certainly saying otherwise!"

* "Now why on earth would you do that??! What were you possibly looking for down here?"

Now, this did not sit right. Not at all. Not with this mother around. That was a new feeling of worry that rushed over her. Out of all the children she took care for, none of them ever complained of hearing static..

* "Hm... Your ears."

She brings a paw and cups one of Chara's cheeks, moving her head to the side to get a better look at her ear.

* "Is it bothering you?"

* "Oh! Of course!"

Toriel let off a gentle giggle and lifted a padded finger tip. Pressing it where she assumed an Anons nose would be-

* "So.. I figure I have to-... Well. Boop!"

Chara would be in her room humming a gentle tune as she folds her clothes with a smile. Her drawings on the floor with her FAVORITE red marker. Her room would be decorated in stars and plants she was a little green thumb like her father. As she was folding her clothes into her drawer she pauses– hearing a whisper. It was a LOW whisper– it was coming back. She taps her foot as she bites her lip. All she was saying in her head was; ‘go away, go away, go away, no, no, no’ 

“get out of my head.”

* "My darling. Who are you speaking to?" 

It wasn't always that Toriel just wandered into closed doors, but she just wanted to check up on Chara if for but a second. Though concern had washed over her when her flopped ears caught hearing of the words her child had spoken.

* "Are you alright?" 

The mother speaks gently, to not cause any alarm and wanders close to Chara. Kneeling beside her.
