There was this old post on reddit about the futility of arguing on reddit. The user making the post explained how they spent several posts going back and forth of the nuances of taste in red wine and then at some point checked the other person's profile and saw that the other user recreationally drank their own piss.

And like without wanting to kink-shame recreational piss drinkers, this made the user realize that they'd discussed taste nuances with someone who enjoyed the taste of urine.

And this is still the best description of reddit arguing I ever saw.

This is hilarious and I love it. I rarely argue on the internet-and when I feel the urge I’ll typically go to the persons profile to see if it’s even worth it.

This confirms why I do that 😂
