140 New Montgomery. San Francisco's historic Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Building, a grand stone edifice which is the headquarters of Yelp. The local business information company occupies nine floors of a newly refinished 26-story Neo Gothic structure. The building itself was completed in 1925 and was designed by Timothy Pfleuger, the celebrated San Francisco architect who also created the Castro and Paramount theaters. It has six acres of terra cotta ornamentation with eight eagles perched at the top. Inside is an ornate lobby with Art Deco metal-work in gleaming, black stone walls. Elaborate chandeliers above with intricately painted Chinese art-inspired designs . Outside is a marble-clad courtyard and sculpture garden. . . . #140newmontgomery #sanfrancisco #pacifictelephonebuilding #historicbuildings #justgoogledit #yelphq #neogothic #neotech #techno #techbro #neofromthematrix (at 140 New Montgomery)
