View from the nave past the Screen into the Choir and toward the Main Altar, Washington National Cathedral, 2025.
The chairs were for singers in a choral concert to begin soon after the photo was taken. Interesting is the apparent set of gothic arches in the upper quadrant. It is actually a trompe l'oeil covering the pipes for the organ which is currently under repair. A chamber organ is being used for services and concerts. Current technology can be used to do gothic tolerably well!
