To Serve and Protect?
Bernard McCoy II 20′
This past weekend was by far one of the scariest weekends in my life. On Saturday, I was leaving a party in birmingham and it was pretty late at night and all I was trying to do was get home safely because I was incredibly sleepy. As I was on the way home I drove by a police and I saw the cop in the car, so I was just thinking to myself to just do the right thing and just hope that he doesn’t pull me over. I drove on for two miles and I saw him come from behind the corner and he began following me. At this moment, I began praying that he wouldn’t pull me over.. well God wasn’t on my side this time because I definitely got pulled over. He walked over to the car and I dropped the window and asked him how he was doing. He said nothing and just stared at me and asked for my license and registration. After I gave him everything, they stood there and kept looking inside the car. He didn’t even take it back to the car and he gave everything back and told me to have a great rest of the night. When I asked him why he pulled me over, he replied by saying, “because you were driving suspiciously..”
