A few months back, I set a meeting with someone and for some reason, they weren't able to come. I waited for 15 minutes where we agreed we'd meet. I told myself, I'll leave when they don't come in a minute or so. But I felt the Lord lead me to just walk towards the café where we said we'll grab some coffee and a bite to eat. I sat at the al fresco dining area, thinking maybe the Lord wants me to wait because they'll eventually come. They didn't. But I just felt the Spirit of God encourage me... "You showing up here for OUR appointment is more than enough. You keep showing up even if others don't. That's how you'll finish what I've called you to do... if you just keep showing up." I realised at that moment, when I set up that meeting, led by Him, I was setting an appointment my Father had already preprearranged. It was actually His meeting. So whether the others came or not, He was already waiting. I sat there in my table, sipping the coffee and eating the slice of cake I thought of buying even before I got there and enjoyed the company of One. I felt so cared for. I felt heaven's full attention as I sat there, not thinking of things I needed to do, but just thinking of Him. I sat there and just... PAUSED. I enjoyed the gentle breeze as it brushed past me. Though I know not where this wind comes from or where it will go, I know it's real because I feel its power on my cheeks. Taking my cue, from that, I quietly sang to my King and prayed under my breath as I enjoyed the sky's warm glow fading into soothing black. I felt encouraged knowing the light simply rests at the other side of the world not too far from where I am. Tomorrow I shall see its bright rays again and get blessed by its heat as I go through another day. I opened the Word and, since it's supposed to be a life group anyway, read a verse to myself and got myself encouraged. I left that place refreshed. It was one of the best "life groups" I've attended, because my King showed up, as He always does. He's faithful even in times I'm not. He adds courage and strength to me daily just so I can get up, dress up, show up, and never give up! Hallelujah! #justkeepshowingup #nevergiveup #outwherethepeopleare (at Nepal)
