🥊Just keep swinging #southpawbill If you know me personally or followed my IG for sometime, you know SouthPaw Bill had always been my handle. Some of you who only follow me on social media have even called me that when we first meet since you don’t know my first name Honestly, it has so many deeper meanings than a silly handle. It’s the memories of my childhood...growing up watching every Rocky movie over & over with my Pops & little brothers (Rocky is a Southpaw) meant so much to me. The memories & the message of the movie stick with me & I still watch them, at least once a week or every other week As kids he would sit us down on the couch after he came home from work, while my Mom was out hustling, the serial entrepreneur even to this day. He would make a HUGE jug of virgin Clamato michelada, that the four of us would share & watch movies together ...Oh, and I can’t forget about the Sopa de Vaso (cup of noodles) he would make as if he was a master chef in the kitchen (since he doesn’t know how to cook, and still doesn’t) but when we were little, it was the tastiest thing Southpaw Grammar & Billy Bud by Morrissey...my Mom is a natural lefty...& I pack a wicked left handed punch (ok maybe a slap) are just a few of the other reasons... the rest we can share later Point is, it means something to me & I’m happy to say that the gear my brothers & I have always designed for ourselves & rock are now up for grabs... even if you wear it just to go to your local Walmart & end up as a meme I appreciate you reading, getting to know me a little more & remember “It ain't about how hard you hit. He was the best to ever do it not because of the records he holds but because he did it with civility in the face of adversity. You would never know his life was threatened every day as he chased Babe Ruth’s record, he was called every name under the sun or that people wanted to harm his family. You wouldn’t know these things because he was a humble man whose excellence spoke louder than any force that came against him. His was my HERO not only because he was a great ⚾️ player but because he repped this city, my city B4 it was cool. This city became what it is because Hank Aaron gave to the people of this city thru his philanthropic efforts, built successful businesses and did it while living in the SWATS. Every drive pass his house was inspiring. It always felt like greatness lived right around the corner. REST IN THE LIGHT MR. AARON.
