Just hear me out - Pirates of the Caribbean: The Musical! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lockdown has inspired so many strange and creative projects in all of us and this was just another crazy idea. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ While it’s not strictly theatre related, it’s a bit of an insight into me as a person. I love Captain Jack Sparrow, I love stories that are full of high adventure and fantasy, I love dressing up, I love Disney, I love to read and draw and sing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I love to be inspired by the things I love most. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Like many of you, for the last few months I’ve been social distancing and some days I wake up and feel a bit numb. I just go through the motions but I don’t take any enjoyment out of the things I’m doing. Sometimes it’s hard to know what you even feel like doing. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So when something excites you, when it gets under your skin and makes you smile - just do it! Be silly. Dress up. Have a disco in your airing cupboard or build a blanket fort in your bathtub. Find ways to make yourself laugh.
