He pushes at the gate. It’s not locked, but the hinges creak enough to be practically a burglar alarm in their own right. It gets the attention of every dog in the place. He’d been mostly right -- there are four, in big cages on his left. They look like mutts, maybe strays; pretty docile, one missing a leg. One of them wags its tail at him.

He barely glances at them, because a different noise makes him instinctively turn, then freeze.

There are two fucking attack dogs in the middle of the yard. They’re big and black and all muscle, and they’re both straining towards him, teeth bared in identical snarls, deep growls reverberating from deep in their chests. 

Fucking hell.

😂 this barely merits the name of ‘wip’ since i might never continue it, it’s a ‘dangerous fortune’ thing i literally just wrote to keep myself awake one day. i really just wanted to see maisie’s friend find mickey beaten up and have very little patience with him. 🤷

when the washbasin thuds onto the tabletop, he raises his head with a start, the same animal wariness flickering through his eyes for the briefest instant before his brows draw together in confusion. 

“so you can wash up,” april says curtly. she places the cloth on the table next to the basin and sets down a mirror alongside it. “you need it.”

a moment passes before he says, “i can’t pay for it.” his voice is scratchy. he’ll catch chill for certain. still; he’s rich. it probably won’t kill him.

Hello! First time doing a bigbang so that might be a stupid question: I just saw the ask about artists being allowed to draw for several writers, but can 1 writer receive art from several artists? Or is it like 1 artist claims 1 fic and then that fic is unavailable to the other artists? :0 (I signed up as an artist btw! as lucasmileynelli)

Pretty good, yeah! Growing up, I loved watching Rachel Ray's 30 Minute Meals and wanted to be a chef because of her. That changed, but I still love cooking and my favorite youtube channel to watch is Sortedfood. Though tbh, a lot of the meals I make are just different pasta dishes lol

Shampoo - favorite scent?

Ooooh pine! Or that bath and body works stress relief lotion that is eucalyptus spearmint I think?
