You know it’s cold when white people aren’t walking. I haven’t seen a haole walk by or jog ALL DAY. The only other time I notice white people don’t walk is when black people take walks 😜 (I jokes, I jokes...) . Anyway, here I am; still sicker than a coed drunk af on tequila... her first time away from home... during days 1 - 3 of her period.🤢 . I started boiling water for no frickin’ reason. I dunno. Sometimes, I’ll put stuff on my stovetop and stand there. I’ll stand and stare at pots, hoping it magically turns into a cooked meal. . Anyway, the weather clowns predicted 5 - 8 inches of snow. Its been a while since I’ve seen 8in of whiteness. I see 8in of brown & black all the time...in my yard, while gardening. So, I peeked out my front door, and I practically gagged at the eight inches of whiteness; It was definitely hard to swallow. It was a lot, and I couldn’t take it. Its too hard to deal with. It was such an eyeful. Okay, okay...😈 #ihatesnow . My brain went from 8in of snow - to thoughts of putting meat in my mouth. So, I thought, #Gyudon! . What’s easier than gyudon ? I made rice, parboiled an egg, steamed some veggies, slapped a quick marinade (#alohashoyu, ginger, mirin, rice vinegar, honey, chili pepper, sesame oil, green onions, sweet onions, salt, pepper) waited 30 min and cooked it all up. Yum! 😋 . Now, after warming up with meat in my mouth, a cozy fireplace, and a ton of Vick’s - 8in was much more manageable...to see. 🤒 . Oh, and all you guys posting pics from home being all like; “Oh, da weather so nice!!!”, or, “Oh, warm yeah, da sunshine?”, and, “Eh, like go beach, cuz?”...I do stinkeye on you, and hope you get dakine burnt malasadas; your eggs on yo’ next locomoco ova cooked. I hope stay traffic on ALL da H’s on your day off, da rice in your next Musubi stay dry, and the guy in front of you gets the last scoop of Kimchi mussels and California Ahi. Mo’ worse, I hope your last can of SPAM - - - spoils.
