Lucille felt like the world stopped spinning, her heart stopped beating. She felt as if everything just froze. Never would she have thought that her daughter would die at the hands of their enemies. Never would she have thought that her daughter would die before her.

As Lucille held her baby girl in her arms, all she could do was cry and run her fingers through Enid’s beautifully long and dark locks. “Mama’s right here, baby. Mama’s right here.” she whispered, letting the tears fall. “You’re gonna be in a better place now. You won’t have to worry about a thing where you’re going.” she whispered, leaning down to press a kiss to the top of her daughter’s head. “I love you so much.”
