On Friday, I had the opportunity to go speak at a middle school for its Career Day event. I shared my journey as a writer and published author with 4 different classes, and it was truly an incredible experience. 😊 In each class, I passed my book around for the students to have a look at it. It was during the 3rd class -- as I was telling the students about the team that helped me publish my book ➡ @kishknows (www.kishknows.com ⬅ go look them up!) -- that I began to express that the cover design was an idea I'd had that KishKnows was able to bring to life. As I expressed the same sentiment in the 4th class, my eye caught the cover of the book. Have you ever really noticed it? The cover is from the perspective of the inside of a cave. The light that is shining from the other side of the door is beckoning the person inside the cave to come out. That is what Come Forth is all about -- words written to empower you and strengthen you to come out of hiding and do ALL that God has equipped you to do. Don't be afraid. Come Forth. These were my favorite books when I was younger. I used to sneak into Andrews room (where they lived) and pull one down at a time a read each one quickly putting them back up and running out before anyone knew I was in his room. I think these were the beginnings of my love for reading, knowledge, and just things. They lived for many years in my brothers room and when he moved out they some how made their way into my younger sisters room hidden in a closet, but have just made there way out and on to the display shelf in my room! I am just happy they are still in good condition after all these years! #justthoughtidshare #books #childhood
