I saw this today and it really spoke to me. Why do we always have to be in competition? Why do we make endings so difficult? Friendships end, relationships evolve, people change jobs. But there is beauty in all of it. Show people some grace, let them know you want the best for them. What do you gain from wishing the worst for someone?
I still can’t believe this has to be said but Hoodoo Delish and Lucky Mojo are white appropriators with no authentic elders in this tradition, who spread misinformation regarding the practice of Hoodoo. Avoid them at all costs.
About equality
I'm pissed off with the latest Lego campaign "Ready for Girls".
And don't get me wrong. As a girl who, in her childhood, preferred to play football, play with toy cars, dinosaurs, climb trees, collect earthworms, snails, etc., and bring them home - I am proud that stereotypes that girls aren't allowed to play with certain things are slowly breaking down.
Another thing pisses me off about "Ready for girls" - it's an equality campaign, but it's not equality, 'cause they totally ignored the boys. While a mother who buys her daughter a car or a DIY kit in a store will not be treated as a freak, the same mother who buys her son a doll - will be treaten that she is probably abnormal or wants to raise her son to be homo or slouch. It is boys who have a bigger problem with stereotypes. They are told that it's not male to cry or admit fear. That boys are not allowed to play with dolls. To skip on a skipping rope. Playing "home". Attend imaginary tea parties. They shouldn't like flower theme or pink in general. In my opinion - all of that is unfair.
It's true that women are worse treaten in adulthood - but boys are putting into stupid stereotypes at the very start.
So if Lego is doing an equality campaign - LET IT DO IT WELL. Equality for everyone, damn it!
I'm waiting for the second part of the "Ready for boys" campaign and I will be very angry if it does not arise.
I LOVE YOU
Maybe you do.
I know I love you.
Or maybe you hate me. I'm not really sure. We haven't spoken in a long time, so how could I know?
I ALWAYS COME WHEN YOU NEED ME
Like a guardian angel, you did, once, but not in a long time. And it's not true of me either. Not sure if it ever was. Maybe I was always selfish with you -- about you. Who knows.
I know I don't.
What's the point of trying to know, When you and I will never meet.
A shadow in the middle of the night. There, but you'll never see me. You're there, but I'll never feel you. Doomed to meld into each other, yet completely separate.
Why can't I forget you?
i cannot wait for you to become just another fond memory, free from the pain you caused.

her: but I -
me: *pulls out PowerPoint presentation on why I love her* No doubting, I’ve come prepared!
I am still waiting
Somedays I try to move on. I try to forget you. I want to live on without understanding why you did what you did. But I know you are somewhere out there in this world probably thinking about me too. If I have the courage to still feel this pain, do you have the courage to look for me?
