Just Worried

Who: Jackson Whittemore

What: Jackson has to wait to in Lydia's room while she takes a shower.

Where: Lydia's room.

Jackson paced the room of Lydia Martin and stared at her door. The girl had practically pushed him out of the bathroom when she decided to take a shower. Normally, the two would have showered together like always, but her parents were home and Lydia and Jackson both knew that idea wasn’t too bright. He knew that he was taking the whole ‘protect Lydia Martin’ thing too seriously, but that was his baby girl. That was the only thing keeping him from tearing apart everyone in Lima. In his opinion, if Lydia wasn’t around, the boy didn’t see the point in living. The more he thought about it the worse he began to feel.

He walked over to her dresser, smiling at the countless pictures of the two together. No matter what, Jackson could always find a smile at the sight of Lydia, even if was only a picture. The girl seemed to brighten his day when nothing else could. When Lydia had mentioned imprinting, Jackson didn’t have to question her. He knew the feeling as soon as it happened and it was something he was still getting used to her. He had tried to explain it to her countless times but no amount of words could sum up his love for the strawberry blonde; red head. 

He lifted up a picture of the two kissing and dropped it back onto the dresser. God, he loved her. He loved her more than anything else in the world and something had hurt her. Peter Hale had hurt her and Jackson wasn’t there to stop him. He felt his eyes begin to water as he thought about it. He had let Lydia go out once again without him and the girl had gotten hurt. He bit down on his lip as he closed his eyes, trying more than anything to clear his thoughts. When he pictured seeing her bloody on the Lacrosse field, he felt his heart begin to race. Jackson, no. Not here. Think of Lydia. Think of the girl in the shower. After a few seconds, his heart began to slow. Lydia Martin was his anchor and without her, Jackson would probably wolf out all of the time.

He looked over at her bed and sighed; still empty. He walked over to the side he usually laid on and dropped onto the mattress. He closed his eyes, his arms moving to cross over his chest. He wanted to check on her. He wanted to make sure she was still safe but he knew that she would get angry with him. Just like she had before she kicked him out. As he laid there, he waited. He waited for Lydia to walk into the room and tell him she was okay.
