‘I streaked the control organisms for you yesterday.’ Lily tried to keep her lips from twitching.
‘Okay?’ James replied, amused. Damn. She’d never been good at keeping a straight face. She rushed off before he could say anything more.
Lily watched as James doubled over in suppressed laughter, hand pressed to his mouth, definitely violating PPE regulations. She grinned, knowing he had found the plate she’d subcultured to spell out “Hey cutie ;)”.
‘So, how long do we pretend we don’t know?’ Sirius muttered to Remus.
‘Just think, if this is how insufferable they are when they’re being subtle…’
‘Forever. Gotcha.’
