self-care isn’t always about letting yourself indulge in an activity or do whatever you want. sometimes it means that you have to recognize your destructive habits and actively work to fix them, no matter how hard it is. people seem to consider self-care doing things you want to do, and while that’s a part of it, it’s really just as much about doing things that are healthy for you.
taking care of your body really is important !! it’s not unproductive to rest and spend time investing in your health (eg. through exercise) because if you literally don’t have the physical strength or stamina to do things you’re not going to get anything done no matter how much you want to !!
wish i was a cat so it would be socially acceptable to spend 16 hours a day sleeping in the sun !!
