theoretically this was an @artfight attack for my friend @no-fun-at-a-party, but the entire rest of my lancer party got bonus cameos from their pilots in the place of the cherubs, plus a few NPCs too.
I'm finally covering this ever since I posted the design on my main page. K1n and R3M1X, two versions of Krinkels legendary Madness Combat species: Nevadans/Grunts/Crosslings (choose whatever name you have for em.)
This delves more into differences between both species whether it be biological or their placement in Nevada's chaotic structure. Mainly because any Grunt born in Nevada can be either of species, even clones and artificial ones. Let's get started, shall we?
R3M1X
The common version that every Madcom fan knows. A smaller more compact species who bear some traits to the world's creators (human do if you believe that Made Combat takes place in a simulation). The normal R3M1X Grunt stands around knee height to the average human or K1n.
All organs, body features and bones are fully hidden behind their tougher clay like skin as a natural defense mechanism unlike K1n. They biologically have less weak spots but do got a few flaws nevertheless. Explosions or anything that can pierce through their skin is more lethal than with a K1n as more vital organs are placed in harm's way.
Lack of legs lead to less speed but better pacing and stamina. Jobs that require maneuvering in small cramped places or stealth is perfectly suited for R3M1X grunts. Prejudice against this species is mostly uncommon as stuck-up K1ns often believe they're closer to the Creator in form.
R3M1X Grunts: Deimos, 2BDamned, Burger Gil, Torture, Bossman, Tricky(can switch using Improbability Drive), Auditor(employers can switch between both like the Creator), Jeb(can switch using halo)
K1n
A more uncommon species that bear the closest resemblance to humans. K1n have bodies similar to their creators albeit lacking arms and neck. Some have rarer features of ears, noses, shoulders or even the rare all three.
A K1n's body features, skeleton, organ system and height are comparable to the average human. (Yes, that includes breasts but the bits are hidden like a cloaca.) Their skin however is weaker when compared to a R3M1X so seeing body armor or protection of some kind is common.
The inclusion of legs make K1n faster and jump higher in exchange for stamina. They're usually given jobs in security or courier jobs as their size (alongside cruel stereotype in some businesses) tends to intimidate R3M1X grunts.
For anyone wondering what would happen if a human ever landed in Nevada when both species exist, it won't be exactly be good.
Those not knowledgeable about the creators could potentially be hostile especially R3M1X grunts who are forced to deal with poor treatment. Unaware K1n are safer to be around as most would think a human is a very strange K1n.
If any are knowledgeable or believe in the creators, HIDE. Humans will be a target for either side with bad and twisted intentions especially K1ns. Best to find an aware R3M1X grunt in this situation for safety.
