K-303 FIRST 4 PAGES DONE - K-303 MOONS AVAILABLE :)

Hello people :) So we finished 4 pages / 8 of the k-303 new home :)

I know ... I know ... it is not so much but the 4 missing ones are 50% done ;)

diverse stuff such as the public facilities, the bin/trash of the park, the info map, the Ranger station, the wooden seats, the horseshoe, the camp fires, the lights, the camp sign ... Almost everything that gives a more natural look to the Park ;) We have some more stuff to do yet, but not much ...

In addition, we released the k-202 Granite Falls walls ( alpha replacement )

The big difference between the old k-303 and the new k-303 is the view on almost everything it contains, and not only a bunch of files with very few visibility ... More to come !

RAVENWOOD ( LIFE & DEATH ) K-303 & K-606 BASEGAME ( ALMOST ) MANDATORY K-505 UPDATE

Hello people :)

Halloween has arrived, and with it, the Life & Death expansion ! We’ve been working hard to make sure Ravenwood is a hauntingly beautiful place for your Sims to visit … or haunt, depending on their mood. Here’s what’s new :

For once, we are going to make 2 posts related to the new town of Life & Death expansion : Ravenwood ...

Of course, this not the first time maxis includes base game stuff in expansions worlds, but this time, it's not about stuff but it's all about terrains ;)

So, except the Afterlife side of Ravenwood which has its own dark rocks, Ravenwood countryside is made of its own cliffs and ... Oasis Spring Rocks/Mountains ( a desert town, just as a reminder ) ... Why Oasis Spring ? it would be more logical to create specific new rocks or at least, choose the more grayish rocks from Willow Creek but well ... ea / maxis / logic <- not the best combo :D

So, after some tests, we decided to modify the rocks/mountains of Oasis Spring, which is only based on a choice of our own. Curiously, now they are not orange anymore, they give a less flat aspect to the town ...

Then, we modified "small" things & stuff of the base game we should have done a long time ago, but not mandatory such as the stone street planter and public lavatories. They are all over Ravenwood now, and their original look seems more ugly than before :D so, we modified them ;) idem with the base short stone fence ... ( yes we know, we have to make more fences )

-> Well, you see the point ;)

Related to the other k-303, the ones included in Ravenwood ( both sides ) we made few ones in order to get a similar look & feel than the k-505 urban :) And we modified a bit the debug town banners ( mostly sharpening, colour ) and streetlamps ... well, you'll discover it, or not :D your choice of course :)

The k-303 isn’t mandatory, but it adds just the right touch to elevate Ravenwood’s atmosphere. Here’s what’s been updated:

Gravesites – Some of the graves in Ravenwood had a mix of grass and dirt that didn’t quite fit the mood. We’ve refreshed these textures to blend seamlessly with the k-505 for that true cemetery feel.

Portal & Soul Bowl – Over in the Netherworld, the portal and soul bowl were looking a little… underwhelming. Now, with enhanced textures, they bring just the right level of mystique and “cool” factor to the other side.

Solicitor Rug – Our lovely public service solicitor has a new set of rugs that better reflect the status and vibe of Ravenwood. A touch of style for the gentleman who offers advice to all ( living or dead )

Street Decor – The town square banners, street lamps, and other decorative touches around Ravenwood have gotten a glow-up.

So, dive into and see how these textures and additions bring new life ( or un-life ) to this chilling town.

About the k-606 : roofs and foundation + 3 series of fences are re-made :) One is still under work and will be released very soon.

Ravenwood has so many fences we couldn’t just leave them plain and un-haunted. These additions help set the mood perfectly for any mysterious, eerie Sim wandering through town ;)

Because the large part of grass included in some other graves, we included them directly into the Ravenwood k-505 mod :)

JUST SOMETHING BEFORE I GO ... A SUMMER TRAMWAY :)

As titled, here comes a Summer Tramway / Trolley for Willow Creek. And this time we made 2 versions ! ( but use one only at a time )

A bit of Flower Power, much colored, Summer Feeling ... Have Fun at Willow Creek and once more : Happy Summer to everyone ;)

Base game compatible of course, this object is a replacement of the Maxis Trolley of Willow Creek. DO NOT put multiple recolors of this object at the same time 😉

THIS FILE OVERRIDES THE TRAMWAY GAME FILE AND WORKS FINE IN-GAME …

BIG NOVEMBER ... PART 2 - DISCOVERING THE K-303

The K-303 Mod ... You maybe already heard of it. But from all the K-Mods, the K-303 is the newest and less known of our Mods ;)

Its name ( Multifix ) means it overrides some of the game files beyond terrains, terrain paints, floors, roofs, basements, plants ...

It can be walls ( such as the ones you already have seen in the files of Discover University or Cottage Living terrain replacement ) or objects such as the EcoLife Style containers or more discreetly, some street lights, or more recently, the Halloween Tramway ... But whatever it is, it OVERRIDES :D

At the end of last August, we made a post talking about our files reorganization. This work come at last to an ending and we are ready to talk more precisely about the K-303 Mod Multifix :)

So what's coming with that kinda Mod ?

At first, we separated the K-303 files from the K-505 terrain files ( present and coming K-505 updates ) and will upload those files in their own category :)

Then, from now, files such as the Halloween Tramway will be uploaded here under the K-303 Mod ... As Halloween 2023 is behind now, we will propose a little something else, before the big Xmas Party in next December :D

We made too some moonlight recolors which overrides the Maxis moons in different colors ... White Moon and Yellow Moon ( at all phases ) are done and we plan to make some planets substitute later ;)

We are working too on new cloudy skies for each world ---> Until Cottage Living. Of course, we are aware it already exists here and there, especially the @alf-si fantastic creations but we are interested to create a complete collection. We'll see ;)

The K-303 Multifix Mod is a very diverse one which allows us to modify things & stuff all around the Sims 4 and expansions :)

The already done objects will be available starting tomorrow night.

K-707 NEWS OF THE WEEK

Soooo ... This is Sunday and the K-707 Nature Mod can’t be updated today ...

I know, I know ... some of you will be disappointed. I am ! But it will be done the coming week. I still need to find some good japanese maple textures and some others ;)

It’s not a bad news after all because I have too to find new textures for plants and shrubs and grass for Base Game and Expansions, so at the end, the K-707 Nature Mod update will be more important than planned at first !

Some of you send me messages to ask the pink Cherry Trees back ... And some don’t want at all any pink trees in game. This is a 50/50 question. So it is not necessary at all to send me anymore messages related to this subject. We must at first make new testy files. Then, we’ll decide. And maybe there will be 50/50 updated Cherry Tree files. Wait and See ! :D

New floors are coming too. Tatami sets, Wood sets, Vintage sets ......... ;)

@dusty1101 asked us the difference between each K Mod ... So, Here we go.

- K-101  :  aka The K-101 Builder Mod

It’s a floor replacement, for Basegame and ALL Expansions and Stuff Packs. It is a very very interesting Mod for everyone. As the other K-Mods, it changes the boring flat plastic look and feel of the Sims 4 for something more realistic and more textured. It is good for all players and builders, not only for your Sims home but for everywhere inside the game.

- K-202 : aka the K-202 Terrafloor Mod

It’s everything floor paint related ( the ones you access to modify a lot inside a world ) They are around 50 ( base game + expansions ) and as we always do ( almost :D ) we try to fit the colorimetry and the style of Maxis but with our our way :D You can see pictures on our website ( tech-hippie ) and here, in some older posts.

- K-303 : aka the K-303 Objektor Mod

It’s a kind of forever test Mod :D It includes walls and objects I modify and test for myself until now. It will be released one day or another ;)

- K-505 : aka the K-505 Terrain Mod

It’all about terrains, for base game and all expansions, such as the one in the previous post :D It changes all the textures of the worlds terrains : grass, ground, sand, street, pavement and so on ;)

- K-606 : aka the K-606 Architekt Mod

Everything related to foundations and floors and when we find them among the thousands files of the game : column, pillar and so on. Until now, we mainly made roofs and foundation. This one will be updated asap because of the platforms recently released by EA. It occurs some disappearances of some foundations we already made. I have to investigate the subject ;)

- K-707 : aka the K-707 Nature Mod

Everything related to Nature : trees, shrubs, plants, etc ... It is the most difficult Mod we made until then. It’s very very tricky and it is very long to do and redo. It is supposed to give a better effect for trees ( less cartoony ) Still in progress, a bit such as a huge beta work :D

Why there is not a K-404 Mod ? Obviously it would be an error ;) The end for tonight my friends ! Stay safe, stay tune, peace !
