Hi, darling! I hope your night is going well. Have you read The Name of The Wind? About a month ago a friend was visiting me and we went exploring, ended up at a cute bookstore for an hour. After we left, he suddenly pulled a book out of his bag and was like,here, this is my favourite book, I got it for you. It was The Name of The Wind and it's a gorgeous, magical piece of fantasy that sent shivers up and down my spine more than once. So, you know, here's a book rec if you need one. ;-) <3

Oh no! I've gotten a blue screen recently and I'm low-key afraid for my lap since then.

If it was ‘just’ a blue screen I wouldn’t be half as worried, because that’s usually a problem with the OS and since that near fatal crash my laptop had last autumn I’m actually making sure to update my backups at least once a month.

What saved me from having to built the whole system back up from zero then was only the fact that I had bought a new ssd hard drive a couple of weeks before and made a full backup to move everything to the new hard drive. So I just had to rescue my latest files and restore the system. 

The program I found is actually great for backups and rescues. You can do a backup of your operating system and a separate one for all your files and then just back up all the new files every couple of weeks. And the best thing is the bootable CD or USB you can create. This way even if almost nothing works or windows won’t start you can still open the program and save your files before you re-install the system.

But this seems to be a hardware problem and I’ll either have to spend a lot of money on having it repaired or buying a new one (which I didn’t want to do just now, because I’m waiting on those tablet/laptop hybrids to be a bit more affordable and better at running photoshop and utilizing the touchscreen for graphic stuff) :/

Hi. About two years ago I bought your print "Heart Tree", 22" x 24". I still have it on my wall and I still love it, but I'm going to move out next month and I can't take it with me. I thought, if you're okay with it, could you maybe publish this ask and see if one of your followers happens to be in Edinburgh and would like to give the print a new home? It'd break my heart to just throw it out.
