Kaasstengels are delicious Dutch cheese sticks that make a perfect snack or appetizer. Using the Airfryer results in a crispy and cheesy treat with minimal fuss.
Ingredients: 250g puff pastry dough. 150g grated Gouda cheese. 1 egg for egg wash. Salt and pepper to taste.
Instructions: For 5 minutes, heat the Airfryer up to 180C 356F. On a floured surface, roll the puff pastry dough into a rectangle shape. Spread the grated Gouda cheese out over the dough in a thin layer. Add a little salt and pepper to taste. Roll the dough up tightly and use a little water to seal the edge. To make sticks, cut the roll into 1-inch 2.5 cm slices. Mix an egg and brush it on each stick to make them golden. Leave some space between the cheese sticks when you put them in the Airfryer basket. For 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy, air fry at 180C 356F. Take the food out of the air fryer and let it cool down a bit before serving.
