Six years of friendship!!!!!

Today six years ago, @paper-gir1 and I met on this ridiculous website, back when Tumblr’s idea of private messaging was that fanmail thing we used to have. Thankfully, we’ve found other (read: better) ways to keep in touch with each other over the years, and we even got to make our dream of meeting up in person for the first time at a Sam Tsui concert come true back in 2018. Now, we just text each other randomly in the middle of the night and FaceTime for hours, so all in all, only the technology has changed. I’m still so grateful we ran into each other here online six years ago and that we’ve only gotten closer since then - we were such babies back then, but we got to grow up together while hundreds of miles apart, and I’m so glad I had you by my side through it all. We’re really living the internet friendship dream, aren’t we?? Who let us do that??

I’ll keep this relatively short and sweet, especially because we can’t actually celebrate together until you have internet again in a few days, so I guess I’ll end this by saying that I can’t wait to keep putting you on blast being your friend. I can’t wait to take you to your first Broadway show and watch you become the automation queen of the theater scene. I can’t wait to go to so many more concerts with you. Heck, I just can’t wait to see you in person again when this pandemic is over!! I miss you so much, but I know you’re just a spontaneous FaceTime call away.

Here’s to the next six years and the rest of our freaking lives : )
