I love The Wrath and the Dawn!
my friend recently read that book and loved it, so i definitely plan on checking it out! thank you for your suggestion!
Wishing you a happy birthday, Adele! (Your name is so cool do you listen to Adele the singer?) Your blog is always great and I always like reading reviews because I find them really helpful! ( I like borrowing library books too) I wish you a great birthday filled with books and happiness! :)
Well I don’t really like her music, but Hello is a v good song atm. Oh my gahd, you are so sweet!! I always feel like no one reads my reviews. I LOVE BORROWING BOOKS FROM THE LIBRARY!! Even if I don’t necessarily read all of them, it’s nice to take them home. I mean, we get to take books FOR FREE for a limited time BUT WE GET TO TAKE THEM HOME WITH US. FOR FREE.
Thank you(!) so much for this!
Hey there! As a student in college right now, would you recommend others to do double majors? I think I may be heading that path because i cannot choose what to pursue, what do you think?
Well I’m only a freshman so I wouldn’t count my opinion too much quite honestly, but double majors can be incredibly helpful (and save u more time & money than having to go back and finish another degree) but tricky to maintain as well
from my understanding it’s best to double major in something that has some overlapping courses and kind of build off each other: nursing + psychology, architecture + civil engineering, math + computer science, etc.
although it can totally help with your job outlook later on, you need to remember that you may have to graduate a semester late to complete all the credits. On top of that your course loads may be more than the average students so you should definitely plan ahead and be organized throughout the semester (i’ve got a friend doing Accounting and Computer science and he’s gotta stay a semester extra to finish all the credits since getting a CPA requires more than avg credits as it is)
i can be more costly. By no means will be as costly had u gone back after receiving your initial degree to get another one, but it might cost you an extra couple of extra thousands. The reason I say this is because with double majors you most likely will have to do summer or winter courses, or o a course overload a couple of semesters. So it won’t come under your general tuition bill, but you’ll have to pay for the extra credits on top of the basic tuition. (their are ways to lessen this by taking course at public universities or community colleges but be careful with those since college is a business and i know tons of people that had to redo a course b/c it was too integral to their major and the uni wanted the credit of their school)
Lastly, what I’m doing is Nursing and Pre-med (which is around the same number of credits as a minor), and I’m finding it incredibly tough to find room to fit pre med courses into my schedule since the nursing program is quite strict. On top of that nursing is tough major and so is pre med so it’s quite overwhelming at times. On the other hand I know people that have easily double majored without having to do too much work, so it really comes down to the majors and the programs you’re in.
Plan ahead and speak to your advisor! It’s v important to make sure you’ll be able to graduate on top and whether or not it’s even a good idea. Ultimately it’s your decision and of course doing 2 majors at once is never going to be easy but if you feel the pros outweigh the cons and you can do it than I’d say go for it c:
Remember me. Hehe how about one about wessa (TID)?
