ok ok I know this is absolute GARBAGE but i’m actually really fucking proud of it? cause its the first time i’ve picked up a pen and drawn something since I was 12/13ish. i was feeling a bit sad and wanted an outlet i guess?

I doodled a lot today during courses and now I coloured it all bc why not. Two watercolours pieces (why i still can’t control the paint why why why) and two marker pieces. all have commentary btw.

marisson: Beautiful, perfect, but also good as friendship or QPP. But I get uncomfortable over fanworks of it sometimes, especially when it’s playing on the age difference (Manon’s loli potential, Alan perving… some fanworks give them a predator/ingenue dynamic, while the fact that that dynamic is completely absent from canon is one reason I love the ship), or when it’s… overly cute, in a girly-straight-ship way? Does that make sense? Like. I ship it, but it’s important that there are other options for the nature of their relationship (and other (non-hetero) ships) (tl;dr even when they’re a couple Alan ain’t straight).

Kaenhousha: MY TEARS. I HAVE GENUINELY TEARED UP OVER THEM. MORE THAN MARISSON. (I don’t think I’ve teared up over Marisson.) To be quite honest, Lizardon could have done with more personality development, he(?)’s pretty nonspecific! But he does have a personality and a mind of his own, he and Alan have an actual relationship and conversations and visible affection. The scene where Alan feeds him in Act I is when I first went “… wait, this guy is way cuter than the Sasuke expy I expected. These spinoffs might actually be cute and enjoyable.” And I’m still not over the head nuzzle at the League. ;;;;; I WOULDN’T EVEN NEED MY DRAGON OBSESSION TO HAVE FEELS OVER THEM

Again, canon but boring and bad /o/ another person idolizing Satoshi was the last thing the series needed at that point, honestly (and then Alan came in…), and Satoshi treats Shouta abominably. ‘Losing’ to Shouta is abnormal and an insult to him — that’s not friendship (and it wasn’t even a good rivalry since Shouta didn’t even actually win that battle). It could have been cute if it had gone the sempai/kouhai way with Satoshi having trouble with being a good mentor but being really into it, but nah.Tl;dr Shouta, pls, have better taste. When the dude that’s over twice your age is your better option there’s a big problem.
