I need someone to write some Wu Assasin fics, I'm too lazy to write 😭
Okay, that was the chillest response to your son trying to kill you I’ve ever seen. Props to Uncle Six who puts down his poisoned soup, scoops closer to his son, goes ‘okay I know we’re destined to try to murder each other but how about we don’t?’ and adds 'here, maybe I’ll tell you a story instead?’
And the truly funny thing? Kai didn’t look scared at all there. Like... I imagine the proper reaction to a head of the Triad knowing you poisoned his favorite soup is probably both more violently terrified and very brief (what with being cut short... at the neck... because dead). But nope. Kai doesn’t even blink.
Honestly tells me more than enough about what kind of a father Uncle Six was. A good one.
A terrible person. Which is why Kai has been avoiding him like the plague. But a good father.
So I just finished Wu Assassins, and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THE SHOW! I mean, it isn't perfect, but it's badass and they fight a lot, and badass women and superpowers and shit! (And my ship kinda sails, so yippie!)
Not that I don’t get why Kai is so adamant about not accepting Uncle Six’s help on anything, ever, but...
I gotta say, Uncle Six really does feel like he does just care about Kai, on at least some level.

Okay, stop telling Kai that he needs to kill Uncle Six. Is Uncle Six a terrible person? Yes. Does he need to be stopped? Absolutely. But please stop trying to get his son to do it. Kai doesn’t deserve that kind of pain.
